ITV host Ed Chamberlain’s reaction to the tragic passing of legendary racehorse Envoi Allen has been subject to major criticism on social media.

The awful news emerged in the aftermath of the Gold Cup, as Envoi Allen ran what was supposed to be his final race.

The 11-year-old collapsed on the walk after the race and news quickly emerged of the awfully saddening news.

However, Chamberlain’s reportage of the sad development has been lambasted by viewers.

The former Sky Sports soccer host remarked ‘what a place to go’ when discussing Envoi Allen’s sad fate.
