Can any of the League of Scotland enthusiasts clarify what Glasgow Rangers advancing to the final would do for the all important UEFA coefficient for Scotland?
In all seriousness I genuinely thought these kind of nights were a thing of the past for teams from outside the top 5 or 6 leagues in Europe. Scalping the likes of Dortmund and Leipzig would be a tremendous achievement for them.
Frankfurt only 11th in the Bundesliga too. A great cup team. Didnât they beat Bayern in a cup final a few years ago and rattled Chelsea in a Europa semi-final back in 2019?
Considering Glasgow Celtic (from 9th ranked Scotland in the UEFA Coefficient table) were humbled in the qualifying stages this season by Midtyjlland from Denmark (ranked 19th in the UEFA Coefficient table), that would be something that all League of Scotland aficionados can presumably rejoice in.
