The Prestigious Europa League 2021/22

Lundstrum sounds like Jamie Carragher after sucking helium from a balloon

I was just sticking to clubs with recent links to both.

Itā€™s incredible that a country as small as Scotland is ranked 9th in the table to begin with. Credit to the League of Scotland clubs that have contributed to that. An outstanding achievement by Rangers to reach the final too.

Quite simply one of the greatest European nights in British football history and you couldnā€™t but be delighted for those long suffering supporters.

Rangers have reached this final the hard way. RB Leipzig were Champions League semi-finalists just 21 months ago and subsequently dumped the richest club in the world, Manchester United, who finished second in the Premier League, out of the Champions League.

Theyā€™ve destroyed the might of Borussia Dortmund and beaten recent Europa League finalists Braga.

RB Leipzig are a horrible, plastic club, funded by and named after a caffeine drinks company.

Rangers were very much the good guys tonight and have struck a blow for real football.

Bonfires in Lagan Valley as the MP rejoices in the Hunā€™s success.

There was talk The Bill would return for a special one off episode the night of the Europa League final in Seville, but that idea has apparently now been shelved. Misery poured upon misery for Celtic supporters.

For anyone who got their first taste of scotch football tonight and are eager to see more, league leaders Celtic take on 3rd placed Heart of Midlothian on Saturday lunchtime live on Sky Sports. It should be a wonderful encounter.

Huge amount to like about this Rangers team and the general atmosphere around the club at the moment.

James Tavernier signed for them when they were in the second tier of Scottish football and has remained loyal ever since. Heā€™s steadily built himself into a club legend, especially with his goals on this Europa League run.

Glen Kamara was racially abused on the pitch last year and how sweet it must have been for him to silence the racist boo boys once and for all tonight with a sublime goal.

Great too to see a manager of colour in Giovanni van Bronckhorst succeed. He got off to a rocky start earlier this season but has steadily found his feet and has turned his team into a formidable force at European level. A superb ambassador for Rangers, a worthy successor to the late, great Walter Smith, and Iā€™m sure his great friend Henrik Larsson will be wishing him the very best ahead of the big final in Seville, exactly 50 years after the the Teddy Bears won the Cup Winnersā€™ Cup in Barcelona.

And how could one not have enjoyed hearing Belinda Carlisleā€™s ā€œHeave Is A Place On Earthā€ being sung by 50,000 Rangers fans?

Itā€™s great for Scottish football in general really, with this season very reminiscent of the 2002-03 season, except in reverse, and certainly the best overall standard of football since then.

Did I hear correctly that League of Scotland champions elect Glasgow Celtic will be a Number 1 seed in the European Cup group stages next season if the neighbours win the final in Seville?

If thatā€™s true thereā€™s a very real incentive there for Celtic supporters to cheer on their neighbours in the final.

Some lad on twitter speculating that Seville will be getting twinned with Mariupol in a few weeks.

@Bandage is very enlightened when it comes to seeing the bigger picture for the League of Scotland. Most of the rest of the Glasgow Celtic footix on here just donā€™t get it.

Classic TFK

Thank you Dan.

A lot of footballers that never would have contemplated joining a scotch league club will be having second thoughts now. It will give the league a massive boost.
