I value the staunchness of the current Rangers management team. Itâs like this. You need proper Rangers men and you need proper Celtic men.
I decided to have a wee look at the Wikipedia page for Rangersâ 1986/87 seaosn - thatâs the first season I remember, in an effort to smell some proper Protestant staunchness, to inhale it.
I came across this name I donât remember - Hugh Burns - I thought with a name like Hugh Burns - I mean Iâve never heard of a Protestant called Hugh and Burns sounds suspiciously popeish - perhaps this guy was a taig who slipped through the net before Mo Johnston did.
Thankfully my fears about Hughâs religion were put to rest by this tremenjus rant.
