The prestigous Europa League thread 2024/2025

Rangers are unreal in the UEFA Cup/Europa League. It’s set up perfectly for Steven Gerrard if Barry Ferguson isn’t given the job on a permanent basis.

Special scenes at Ibrox Park. Coach Barry Ferguson has beaten Jose Mourinho.

The crowd won that really although Jack Butland performed superbly in the penalty competition.

“I’m feeling it, I’m feeling a change, I’m feeling it, in the air”. Very popular around 2017-2018. Fellas would’ve been on a roof top in College Court singing it in a retro AC Milan jersey from 1992.

Proper wind-up merchant behaviour.

Not a patch on Celtics.

Didn’t realise a Taig plays that.

Love a good random pop tune bring belted out as anthem like that. Like just can’t get enough or freed from desire

Rangers should be well motivated going to Bilbao for the quarter-final what with the Basque country’s PIRA connections.

Is that who they’re playing? Absolutely lovely! Who’s at home the first leg?

Teddy Bears at home first.

Haha! Brilliant

I value the staunchness of the current Rangers management team. It’s like this. You need proper Rangers men and you need proper Celtic men.

I decided to have a wee look at the Wikipedia page for Rangers’ 1986/87 seaosn - that’s the first season I remember, in an effort to smell some proper Protestant staunchness, to inhale it.

I came across this name I don’t remember - Hugh Burns - I thought with a name like Hugh Burns - I mean I’ve never heard of a Protestant called Hugh and Burns sounds suspiciously popeish - perhaps this guy was a taig who slipped through the net before Mo Johnston did.

Thankfully my fears about Hugh’s religion were put to rest by this tremenjus rant.

Isn’t Hugh the hun co commentator of…

What’s the goalie daein’ Tom? What’s the goalie daein’?!

…fame

I always want the huns to lose & last night was 0-2 going on 0-4 or 0-5 & their fourth successive home defeat…but that doesn’t matter, they’re through & they experience the euphoria of a shoot-out win in Europe. As I look for positives…I think getting one over on Mourinho might even prompt them to give Ferguson the job permanently, the final is in Bilbao & they play a strong Athletic Bilbao next & it’s a little boost to OUR coefficient.

Tom English gets it.

No comment about their vile flag from Uncle Tom?

What’s this?
