But in a nutshell
- rushed fight (money thrown at him, greed)
- failed to respect the weight (arrogance)
- failed to respect his opponent (arrogance)
- was under conditioned (arrogance)
- between the team they completely missed the science of adding weight to a fight class sport (arrogance & stupidity)
- he believed the 1% fluff that Portal brought and forgot the fundamentals of physical preperation (just silly)

McGregors slap to Diazs hand at the presser and subsequently Diaz getting a large flinch out of McGregor at the weigh ins even though he was miles away from him showed mental weakness from Mcgregor, for the first time an opponent wasnāt fazed by McGregors barrage of mouthing and mind games (not enough time to do so maybe!)āI DONāT GIVE A FUCK!ā āwe are gonna fight thatās itā was all Diaz was really getting involved in and it seemed to panic McGregor into pushing an early pace at a weight that was alien to him.Only one winner once Diaz hit him with the Stockton slap.

The panic in his eyes when Diaz rocked himā¦ I think there was a minute left, he should have just stepped off and tried to kill the minute as best possible but in a moment of sheer panic jumped to the groundā¦ Thatās bad coaching/ game management from all concernedā¦ He will have learned a massive lesson in all this tho, and he pretty much had it all analyzied by the time of his immediate post fight interview. Himself and Edgar seems like the logical fight next - If he wins that he can think about stepping up a weight again.
