The wheels have come off the New Zealand bandwagon. It was an Axel who threw them off.
They had nothing in their whole imperial arsenal that could break the spirit of 15 Irishmen (plus substitutes) who didn’t want to be broken.
Everyone, Irish, South African, New Zealandish or otherwise, had their own particular part to play. No part was too great or too small; no one was too old or too young to do something.
We saw our fight right through to the very end.
Cubs World Series win, Ireland beat New Zealand. All we need now is for Spurs to beat the South Londoner blow ins tomorrow.
