The Rugby Thread (Part 1)

He actually morphed into a very good ref eventually. Was a shocker for the whistle for a good few years. An odd time I didn’t bother going to a game he was reffing

Looks like those concussions will make it hard to get insurance in the future.

Ewan will be gutted for his hometown. “This is a club that has survived 2 World Wars” is a peculiar comment to make, he may as well have mentioned the coronation of 5 monarchs as well.

It is an indictment of the society which has been allowed to develop though. It’ll be a GAA or soccer club next.

The club has survived two world wars

Would the IRFU be considered “rugby hipster” given the amount of foreign coaches employed in the professional game here?

Hometown decision to give Leinster an early lead. Ringrose goes over gain, it makes no odds.

The Connacht bandwagon on the go again @KinvarasPassion

Another harsh call on Northampton, Leinster go over again against 14 after the yellow. 24-7.

Dancing Dave Kearney skips in. That Doris young fella is a bit of a baysht.

Dave Kearney is back in the Irish 45 man squad.

We need Fergus McFadden back

Well deserved. Form selection. The brother misses out

Haters be hating

Scrapers be scraping

@GeoffreyBoycott / @ChairmanDan is having another rant about lack of opportunity for English coaches in the EPL but seemingly the same standards do not apply the same standards to the IRFU.

Why don’t the IRFU give jobs to Irish coaches? 3 of the 4 provinces have foreign head coaches and so does the national team. Leinster Head Coach Leo Cullen is basically being piggybacked by an Englishman.
