The Rugby Thread (Part 1)

Much of a muchness defensively?

Where the fuck has andrew conway gone? Wasn’t playing for Munster other night and not in list of injured. Surely should be getting a look in

He’s playing for Munster this weekend. Missed a good bit of time for ‘personal reasons’

Fair enough. Be good to have him back firing

Connors must have picked up an injury?

Yep.

Murray doesn’t get a minute last week and starts this week, Farrell’s selections are bizarre.

Stockdale

Bizarre starting CJ when he’s retiring on Saturday. Playing him against England is of no benefit to us going forward to the World Cup.

Have some fucking manners, the man is entitled to his send off.

Irish rubby summed up right there… There’s nothing to be gained this weekend other than trying lads out… Aikee and Stander should be fucked off but especially Stander.

Ireland are playing England in a Championship match on Saturday, the oldest and most prestigious tournament in international rugby dating back to 1882. The Millennium Trophy is also up for grabs. Lads are advocating fielding a weakened team because of a World Cup that’s over 2 and a half years away?

I’d say Cummiskey had some help from a few worried rugby agents to write that column. I’m fairly sure the French clubs voted to reduce their salary cap by over 10%, I struggle to believe they are all desperate to spend 5% of their tight budget on someone with CJs profile.

I remember the first playing of the Millenium Trophy in 1988 . England won a game in April or May fairly convincingly on a lovely day at Lansdowne ,

They gave us a savage hiding earlier that year at HQ with Chris Oti getting 3 tries .

You’re very chirpy this weather Dan, I’m glad to see you thrive in a hostile environment.
Is it just because the schools are back?

Thanks for enquiring. The young fellow is doing very well since he went back to school. This is his fourth week back. Few sunny days this week as well and we’ve been off swimming in the sea.
