The Rugby Thread (Part 1)

Bank hol weekend

If Etzebeth and Fassi were fit Sharks would give it a right rattle. If Sharks perform to their ability and defend well they have a chance.

Anthony Watson on the wing is a fine finisher. Pollard a great out-half too. Does he still start for the Saffers despite being abroad?

Always looks like a big kid having the time of his life playing too.

Yep he is starting for the still I think. Top player. Watson same, can’t get them enough ball though

They were able to do it in the URC this year and in particular last year all the same?

Point re today is a turnaround from SA last sat to Toulouse today.

Ah right, sorry. Sure surely they must have stayed in Europe?

Toulouse pulled away in the end so Sharks must have been travelling up and down so…

Ntamack with a lovely individual try. Starting to find his form, cunt could be timing it nicely for world cup

Toulouse Leinster the real final you’d think

They played at home last week. It was more that they had less recovery time with long distance travel and jetlag to contend with. Lot to ask of a team

Oh I know, I thought they might have come up early enough. Ah not easy to do.

Added to that they didn’t know if they were on a QF or who they would be playing until the games were over last week. V hard to work with those logistical hurdles

They played v well… Had a try disallowed that was marginally fwd they would have been back in it if that was given

Hardly any jetlag though.

Fcuk me :flushed:

With that type stuff going on professional rugby is in an awful state. I wonder which nation will be first to go bust? The generous taxpayer support in Ireland should see plenty of silverware come this way for years to come.

English rugby is already bust. The question is when is the next one. Tis obviously a flick of the coin between SA and France.

Iv not watched a full game of rugby in 18 months I’d say, all the reports of terrible brain trauma from former players has completely spoiled my enjoyment of it. But surely professional rugby in England is still viable? I’d have thought Wales, Scotland, NZ or Australia would be the first to fall?

There’s clubs in England that are going under every year. Sad state it’s in.
