The mulliance wouldn’t have aligned itself with a grade a simpleton like @iron_mike
Once they go Fingal…
Oooft.
We sent @Puke up to Fingal many years ago as a sleeper agent, in case of an emergency. But the alliance were so badly smashed that they’ve been unable to threaten our hegemony since.
I think @SHANNONSIDER has his trigger code somewhere
To be fair, Bristol might be Championship but the potential is huge for them. Big rugby area, big city and lots of cash. He’s going for the money clearly but it’s a challenge for him.
It does surprise me in one way though, that’s the type of place which will shitcan you in an instant. He’s got a few years of loyalty in the bank with Connacht.
Connacht is a backwater though
Is that like a Manchurian Candidate scenario - he doesn’t even know himself that he’s still a roaster?
They made the classic mistake of building a squad to get themselves out of the Championship. Blew the budget on the likes of Henson, Crane and Matthew Morgan. Off top of my head there is maybe 2 or 3 players in their squad that I would take at Munster.
Id say Lam first job is an overhaul of the culture of the place anyways. They failed to get out of the promotion playoffs in 5 out of last 6 years before they eventually got up. For money they had spent thats horrific. Huge potential there alright if they could get it right but you see it with football clubs all the time like Sunderland, Newcastle etc. Being a sleeping giant doesn’t always lead to success.
Lam probably exactly kind of guy they need alright though if they were willing to be patient. They wouldnt be able to play his game with current squad anyways.
bad form puke.
Big Mick’s post was unprompted and you’re making things up again, mate.
Will Nicola Sturgeon do a similar statement when Brendan Rogers is appointed to try and save Swansea for relegation in January??
Has the world gone mad ???
I know this is rugby country and all, but is that a spoof or what?
Ross needs shooting.
Pat Lam is Conaught rugby, one of the greatest of all time
That was the initial tribute he had prepared for Pat Hickey before he flew out to meet him in Rio. After the mugging off he got, he rehashed it for Lam. A new way of government and all that malarkey
Former Sligo Rovers manager Ian Baraclough will be feeling very hard done by for not receiving a statement of thanks from both the Minister for Sport and the Junior Minister for Sport when he left Sligo Rovers in 2014.
Is a League title and an FAI Cup not worthy of such a statement?
Connacht Rugby are a tremendous example to the Irish people and world at large of surviving and then thriving in a time of economic upheaval. Connacht Rugby rose from being an irrelevance to Champions. Books will be written on them and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Harvard Business School launches a lecture series on their rise.
Minister Ross and company are dead right to herald this Irish success story.
its a really inspiring story, only Irish rugby could produce it
