poor today but hes had a decent season. Not finished. That’s a v young Leinster side there is still a place for his experience. Absolute joke they didn’t carry either Adam Byrne or O Loughlin on bench before Kirchner though. Or McFadden for that matter.

Left that one behind today, they really did. That hold on Nacewa was very costly to Leinster when Lopez dropped that goal. Leinster were a bit naive at the ruck in the first half as well, don’t think that would have happened with Heaslip out there but they’d have missed Conan’s carries a lot.
Nice for Clermont though, they’ve owed Leinster one in the latter stages of this competition. Hope they can do it but fitness with kill them away from home.

James Ryan will break into the team next year which will help the row a lot. Molony is a good Pro12 option already and is only 22 himself. It will be an all St Michael’s second row in a short while for Leinster.
Bit of a struggle at hooker as well, Strauss and Cronin are both just meh. Cronin would be a fabulous player if he could sort out his fitness and mental side of the game.

Yeah Ryan will be a big help but bit much expect him to essentially step up from u20 rugby to filling a massive hole in the squad straight away. He could have done with 15 or 20 games this season to ease transition. Moloney is decent but need an enforcer type which I doubt he will ever be. Fardy be a big help next season. When you see Nagle getting another year though shows the paucity of options
I’d forgive Cronin fitness based on season he has had. Where was Tracey? Injured? He’s a good player. Strauss is past it.
I was at the game - the most mental stadium atmosphere I’ve ever experienced anyway - the Clermont fans are nuts but great craic.
Disappointing but we threw it away in the first 15. Some try by Ringrose. The disallowed try seemed harsh too but was hard to see in detail on the screen. They seemed to get every 50:50 decision but that’s the benefit of home adv I suppose.

Nah wasn’t harsh. Good call by ref. Leavy on ground held Rougerie in which allowed the gap remain for counter attack
