I know. Des, the sports broadcaster doesn’t though.
A or D for me.
C hopefully
Ireland in pool A with Scotland and Japan and 2 minnows, great draw.
Australia will piss their group.
England should have a few fatalaties in their group.
This summers tour to Japan carrying extra significance now.
We should demand the withdrawal of all our Loins immediately.
Scotland having only two fellas out there to hold tacklebags are into an early advantage. We’ve been mugged off
A quarter-final defeat to South Africa.
Well done Ireland.
Was kept abreast of proceedings this morning by a staunch rugby man (cc @Batigol)
The build up starts here. What time is it Ted?
9.34am
And when does the competition start?
2019.
This will evoke memories of Italia 1990 where Ireland will play the hosts in a World Cup finals .
An interesting connection is the Salvatore Scillachi played in the J League. Surely the Smithwicks ad filmed in the Gravedigger’s pub can be updated .
No it wont
We will walk this.
If we don’t make a quarter final at least it’s a joke
Some TASTY groups in there.
Scotland will be looking over their shoulders at the hosts Japan with quite a bit of fear. Last summer’s Test Series beaten the two was close and Japan should improve further with more high profile Test matches and Super Rugby under their belt by 2019.
Ireland can be confident, but not complacent.
Conor O’Shea will be feeing disappointed this morning but Italy can repeat the heroics of November 2016 and down the South Africans imo.
Pool C, wow oh wow. Le Crunch and a Falklands War renewal. Argentina and France have a terrific rugby history together and should provide a cracker as well.
As for Pool D, you can imagine Australian props were shifting around nervously this morning hearing they would be facing Georgia. With Aussie rugby in trouble, can Georgia and Wales put them to the sword?
So many talking points this morning.
I’ll field this one.
No.
Who do we think will make the quarter finals lads?
I’m going with New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, France, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England.
Australia have never feared Australia. They’ll just avoid scrums against Georgia. Job done.
Japan were very lucky with that group all the same.
Very very lucky.
When is the draw for the knockout stages take place?
