The School, College & University Competitions Thread (another thread gone west)

Vision for the goal too, drew two men in and timed the handpass.

I thought ASR were going to run out of steam. Kieran’s hit them hard twice in the first half and got six of their eight points from two minutes of hurling.

But it didn’t happen. ASR must have been up in Cratloe Woods again. Delighted for Niall Moran and second that praise of Liam Kennedy. Everybody in Limerick, Na Piarsaigh and ASR have so much to be thankful to that man for.

David Kennedy corner forward was motm for me. Great team though. Far less star talent than other years but a well rounded team.

That was Dylan Lynch who set up the goal. The Ahane cornerback was MOTM in the 1st half, Fitzgerald at fullback was v good also before injury. Kierans hit a couple of bad wides when they had ARS in their sights in the 2nd half.

Evan O’Leary - corner back impressed me. I thought he was outstanding. Tigerish corner back.

His block for a goal in the first half was unbelievable.

The tubby lad in the goals was very good.

You can’t bate a butty keeper dashing out from the goals and launching a ball down the field.

He was very good,
O’Farrell was outstanding bar the poorly hit penalty, the full back Fitzgerald was solid out, really thought they’d miss him when he went off.
The lad from Kilmallock was very good, maybe I expected too much, Kieran’s had him well covered.

The captain (Harrington) gave a rousing speech, I’d know his folks well, good people

Neither side really deserved to be there and they both knew it

Think he might have been going for a point for first naas goal and the last one isn’t a ‘chip’

Lol,

He hadn’t a clue where that blocked down ball went. It could have been in the net. If it did end up there ASR were in serious trouble.

Are they coming back to Na Piarsaigh tonight? They did after every other game.

That’s the plan alright.

They are.
The Na Piarsaigh secretary has a load of blank transfer forms ready for signing

A lad from Askeaton in ASR. That would be unusual surely? Great for his development though and great to see a man from the club hurling at that level. I had to double check when I saw, made sure it wasn’t some sort of Askeaton in Clare

I hadn’t seen anyone mention Cashel as dark horses this year

They have a couple of good lads off the Tipp U17 winning team.

In particular Adam Daly who was Tipp’s best player this year in my opinion.

Big win for them
