We are coming for you @Bandage
So Lynch only served a 1 game ban in the end?
strange its only one. Did he get a straight red
Didnât know you were a Mary I man, pal. Are you playing us* next?
*UCD
GMIT next up for Mary IâŚUCD need a win tonight to progress v Maynooth.
You canât have an Inter County manager that far removed being the boss.
Thats a shocking performance considering the talent. A few of the Cork lads in particular would want to have a long look at themselves regarding performance.
But they lost it when they picked a weakened team and insulted UCD who have a nice side.
They were certainly on a par for talent with the other schools, if not better.
1:8-0:5 win to IT Carlow over WIT. James Doyle of Carlow got the goal for the home side. Only two known intercounty stars for Wit with Mark Fanning of Wexford between the sticks and Waterfordâs Aussie Gleeson in at no. 11. Wit only got one point in the second half and with the wind also.
Very disappointing from College today. As Big Mick said the use of Mikey Breen throughout the competition has been bizarre to say the least. Why wasnât Lawton starting? Presume there has been some row with Cunningham given the fact he only came on at HT last year as well against UL, nearly saving UCC on that occasion with a stellar performance. 2 points from him today but he was on too late.
OâDonnell and Power have been a total disaster for College. Surely Anthony Spillane should have got a look in. Is he on the Cork panel still?
LIT used a sweeper and UCC couldnât counteract it at all. What a pity De Burca was injured. He may have been able to bring a bit of organization to the thing.
The people I were with at the match said there was a big row after the UCD game and todays performance would suggest little or no team spirit. This whole debacle of the last two years reflect badly on Cunningham.
Oh how we miss Paul O.
Cork players, and this may be just cooincidence, seemed to really lack drive. I have 2 theories on this
- The crossfit training is catching up already
- They donât trust another county manager
SOD is terrible for UCC. Has to be time of the year.
Power is unfit.
Up your bollox, shitbag.
Cadogan looked to be the only Cork lad with any bit of go in him. I believe he was the only one to perform in the earlier games too.
What are the Freshers like?
Going to lose a lot off that team today. Cadogan, Barron, Murphy, Roche, Morrissey and Hogan for definite. Probably OâDonnell, Lawton and OâShea also.
Dark days for College.
The doubts about their drive were there long before they started doing crossfit. Iâm nearly sure youâve said it before yourself that the club championship seriously lacks cut.
Cork lads not trusting outside trainers (or anyone for that matter) is nothing new either.
What are you on about? Ger Cunningham is from Cork
You have no idea what iâm talking about re:Crossfit.
Freshers very talented, however like the football the main man is an issue.
Poor decisio being made by JG. Lots of auld mates there it seems.
Senior football streets ahead.
Who do we have over the freshers?
Cunningham has to go surely? One failure is bad, two years running is unforgivable.
The perception of lack of drive among some of those Cork hurlers predates, and is a separate issue from Crossfit, on which youâve shared your thoughts before.
Any of the Cork lads play well watchyourtoes?
OâShea scored some great frees particularly in the second half. Cadogans goal was a cracker. Niall Mac wasnât the worst either. Cormac Murphy scored two monster points but probably needed to do more while Barry Lawton got two when he came on. How he didnât get more game time beggars belief. Its 3 years now since he nailed a crucial late point to beat CIT in a QF down in the Dyke.
LIT were far more of a team while College just played like individuals. Tadhg De Burca would have a big difference but even with him I donât think weâd have gone very far anyway.
