The Seething thread

Breheny is from Galway

Far-right arse licker-in-chief @ironmoth is having a seething meltdown on the US Politics thread.

You label anyone who is ‘right’ of your looney outlook as ‘far right’ and then seethe away at being challenged on your ridiculous opinions, trying to disguise this behind cheesy smileys. Appropriate you have self logged your latest seethe here I guess.

You’d be seething if you were a socialist as well mate. A ridiculous economic theory that goes against everything we know about human behavior, and yet clowns still buy into it regardless of the overwhelming evidence that it hasn’t worked, doesn’t work and will never work. A bit like a socialist in that respect actually.

I’m open to different theories on economics and the premise of some sort of redistribution of wealth in an unequal world and generally enjoy economic discourse, so I don’t like to dismiss some socialist musings and leanings out of hand. I’m re-reading Picketty at the moment, it’s a tough slog and based on some questionable assumptions but a worthwhile read.

Sid’s a self righteous twat though, squealing his delusional lefty agenda on every subject going.

Should take this off the seething thread though. I’m sure there will be some real seethes, as opposed to pretend ones, to log tomorrow.

There is an income redistribution mechanism in place in the progressive tax system. The problem is it only applies to middle - high middle income earners. Those that have significant wealth, whether it’s individual or corporate, have written the law to minimize their taxes.

But you’re right, this isnt the thread for this discussion.

Edit. Picketty is quite good and largely correct, wealth inequality is the bigger problem than income inequality. The root of the problem is the entire establishment political class have no incentive to change anything.

Yes, just what this forum needs, another incredibly dull rural right-winger who serves no function except as a reserve cock holster for @anon7035031 when @ironmoth’s jaw gets tired.

There’s only one side seething at being challenged on their views here, mate. It’s yours. Nice work there when you complained about “labelling” and then immediately called me a looney. Did you get the irony?

I don’t find your dullness entertaining but I do find your permanent snowflakey outrage at having your views challenged to be highly entertaining.

You accusing anyone of perpetual outrage is outrageous… do you even read what you splurge anymore?

I see you were trying your hand at being an expert on Keynesian economic theory on some other thread. I doubt you know the difference between a supply curve and a shit pun, but give wiki another twirl there and add it to your internet degrees.

A shit pun is what you use to go to the toilet?

No, I wasn’t trying my hand at being an “expert” on Keynesian economic theory. I was describing the most basic tenet of Keynesian economic theory which anybody who has even the most basic knowledge of economics would be fully aware of.

I’m glad if you think that’s expert level analysis, though. At least I know I’ve taught you something.

Seems to be a real overreaction and way out of proportion.

What’s this about, mate? I missed the last quarter of today’s game…

He refused to speak to RTÉ after the match today but they showed a clip of him in the media room talking to the print journalists. He was questioned on it and said it was because Pat Spillane had taken Connolly’s good name on The Sunday Game a few weeks ago after the incident against Carlow.
