What the fuck is going on in Dublin this past week or two? Thereâs traffic accidents taking place almost hourly at this stage, if its not on the M50 its some other busy artery in and out of the city. This mornings latest is the Port Tunnel where a truck is overturned. I donât recall a run as bad in a long time.
We need to upgrade the M20 between Limerick and Cork. That would encourage more companies and in turn more people to relocate outside of Dublin. With a M20 and the completion of the M18 you would be able to travel from Cork to Galway in a couple of hours. Making Limerick an ideal base for more large multinational companies.
Proper public transport would solve a lot of it. Try get from somewhere like Blanchardstown / Castleknock to Sandyford or vice versa via public transport and youâll see why most people choose to drive it.
Whatâs this law? Was no issue with the Port Tunnel.
Governmentâs in this country have consistently neglected the central spine required for Dublin and Irelandâs transport network. DU was just that. Itâs very sad but inevitable with the pols in this country.
