Had to laugh at the judge saying the fact that the young lad came from a criminal family and lived in a fortified house was a reason to be lenient on him. True he cant help who his family are but he obviously didnt mind going round shouting do you know who my daddy is. If his family werent knee deep in gangland feuds maybe he might have a different mindset alright.

He was 14. He was far too young to have a genuine chance of escaping his family’s warped morals. No 14 year old is going to decide they’re better than their family. A kid like that has fuck all chance really.

Absolutely. But the kid you take pity on at 8 I’d the gurrier at 12, the thug at 14 and the violent criminal at 16. And same cycle for his kid. No solving it really without putting lots of money into social programmes in the hope the good outweigh the bad.
