I said it on the side group but draws have tended to be the killers for Liverpool in the Premier League era. Real shades of 2008-09 with a slew of frustrating draws handing the chasing pack the initiative. A string of draws in early 2019 cost us the league too. Hopefully we donât live to regret letting 4 points go a begging in the past 10 days. Quite often Liverpool lose fewer games than the eventual winners but donât get over the line (2009, 2019, 2022).
Difference this year is that the City juggernaut is leaking significant oil, everyone in the chasing pack is dropping points.
Oh massively yeah. A bit of luck in the recent games though and Liverpool could have this thing put to bed. Theyâre giving Arsenal a lifeline when theyâre probably struggling to believe.
Sels was unreal second-half. Neco Williams held up well too. I thought Salah would exploit him more.
Disappointed to give away such a soft goal. Had we seen out the corner, Morato would have been on straight after for a centre back three. But credit to Liverpool FC, they stuck at it.
Credit also to ref Chris Kavanagh. He left them at it.
Pool will still win this league comfortably.
