So how many points do we need to avoid relegation under the new format?

Unbelievable tough schedule with two games in a row against European royalty coming in cold after 3 games against diddy teams.

About 9 for top 24 and 12-16 for top 8.

Slots head looks like a diddy

Awful news. Had seen something about it earlier but didnā€™t realise he was Irish. RIP.

Very sad, desperate luck RIP

Id say ye baked Nunez cakes before ye abused the hell out of him.

Irelandā€™s number 1 might be in goals tomorrow as Alisson has a knock again. I suspected he may have been carrying an injury when I saw Van Dijk doing a fair bit of the kicking on Tuesday night (cc the footix of the day committee).

@neilld and @Aertel220 as two of the proper football men here, might it be the case that Alisson is becoming a bit more injury prone as the role of the goalkeeper has changed quite a bit in recent years from just a shotstopper to a fella that needs to be able to pass the ball and move around a bit more?

Iā€™ve never seen the lad at Valencia play bar maybe at the Euros but he must be completely exceptional to be jettisoned in over Kelleher next season.

Hopefully CK can get some gametime and a move in January, Nick Pope looked very ropey last Sunday and Chelsea still need a keeper as well.

Iā€™d have always considered Allison good with the ball but not in the league of Ederson or Raya on those diags, floated and long passes. However he is still for me the best in the world as he consistently stops goals he has no right to (both regularly and when most needed)and makes very few mistakes.

This is probably his last year, it will probably be Real Madrid or Saudi. Iā€™d say the reason why there has been little spending this summer is that they know an overhaul is coming next year but the one they have to keep is Trent, they saw the best of the other big 3 for all they are irreplaceable.

There is going to be some bunfight next summer for the kid Rogers at Villa. He is the archetype Liverpool signing with his ā€¦ extreme attributesā€¦

Great winger per se and passes the eye test @Footix thread, but doesnā€™t really convert that to goals and assists. Maybe thatā€™ll come in time but at the minute heā€™s the opposite of a Mane/Salah who sometimes looked clunky enough in possession but would guarantee you a goal every second game at least.

Salah looked like a fish up a tree at Chelsea but he was always capable of beating his man quite easily, itā€™s so rare fellas can do that today so they just work on the other stuff. Itā€™s why Pep persists with Doku basically, itā€™s hard to find game breakers.

Mane was very good from pretty much when he came to England iirc, but was a little older.

He is a bit like Dembele at Spurs maybe who loved a dribble, but didnā€™t have the end product and wound up playing deeper, lads just couldnā€™t get the ball off him

Pep had one in Grealish and beat it out of him. I imagine heā€™s doing the same with Doku

Not much else there with Doku if he loses that

Dembele at Spurs is a great example of a forward with no end product successfully converting to midfield. He had the size and strength for it. A great player to watch

Between him moving centre backs to midfield and you moving centre forwards thereā€™ll be no one left.

Although Darwinner would do wreck centre mid
