The Slot Machine šŸŽ° - Liverpool FC 2024/25

Great affinity between Liverpool and Ireland. When weā€™re not relying on an Irish keeper to replace Ali, weā€™re utilising former LOI loanees. A lad who won spent a season in the greatest league in the world playing in nets for the greatest club in the world.

They might go back in for the hill walker yet.

Will need to sell more of Kloppz Kids given the strict sell to buy policy

Very little in it ffs.

The BT crowd have slowed it down and showed it at least 27 times.

Gone home to Lennoxes

Theyā€™d want to dry their eyes and let it go at this stage

Iā€™ve rerun my prediction model

Itā€™s predicting Liverpool Football Club will get 97 points this season

Ex LOI player played today

Beglin was ex LOI too

Any other ones recently

Steve Staunton? Not sure if he ever played an adult game for Dundalk though.

Liverpool famously had a no Catholics policy up until very recently wouldnā€™t be surprised if they had a no LOI rule too.

Brad jones too

Liverpool were anti pedo unlike catholic clubs like Celtic and man utd who harboured sex offenders. Catholics are the scum of the earth

The Liverpool FC child abuse scandal refers to allegations that came to light as part of a broader investigation into historical child sexual abuse in football across the UK. This investigation uncovered abuse by coaches and staff members at various football clubs, including Liverpool FC.

The scandal at Liverpool FC largely involved allegations against Barry Bennell, a former coach who worked at several football clubs, including Liverpool, Crewe Alexandra, and Manchester City, during the 1970s to 1990s. Bennell was a central figure in the broader football abuse scandal due to his history of abusing young players while working as a coach.

Key Points:

  1. Barry Bennellā€™s Role: Bennell was convicted multiple times for sexually abusing young boys under his supervision during his time as a youth coach. While he is most closely associated with Crewe Alexandra and Manchester City, some Liverpool youth players were also reportedly targeted by him.

  2. Investigations: In response to growing allegations, UK authorities, including the Football Association (FA) and the police, launched investigations into various clubs, including Liverpool FC, as part of a nationwide inquiry into abuse in football. The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) was also involved, looking into institutional failures in safeguarding children in sports.

  3. Liverpoolā€™s Response: Liverpool FC, like other clubs implicated in the wider abuse scandal, worked with authorities during investigations and pledged to fully cooperate to ensure justice for the victims. Clubs across the UK have since strengthened child safeguarding policies in response to the revelations.

  4. Impact on Victims: Many victims of child abuse in football came forward with their stories decades later, describing the lasting trauma caused by the abuse. These revelations shocked the football world and led to significant media coverage and legal action.

While Liverpool FC was not the primary club associated with Bennellā€™s worst offenses, the scandal did bring attention to the lack of safeguarding in youth football during the 1970s-1990s, when many of these abuses took place. The wider scandal has led to changes in how youth players are protected within football organizations today.

Eh, that was after Liverpool let Catholics in you thick bastard

The shankill butchers were huge Liverpool fans and the club banned all Irish flags from their ground until very recently. There has always been a massive link between violent loyalism and the club. They also allowed their training ground be used for training the parachute regiment before their tours of northern Ireland.
They played some great stuff under klopp though in fairness.

A very weird post from chat CBD. Bennell never worked for Liverpool and Iā€™ve never heard any mention of any connection between him and the clubā€™s youth players.

If spouting that makes you feel better about yourself Iā€™m very happy for you .
