Portlaw indeed. Portlaw is alive with this kind of creative free spirit.
And something slightly more modern from 2011’s The Hunter by Mastodon

One of TFK’s most popular ensembles, The xx, have a new song out today from a forthcoming new album:
Those Nottingham boys, Tindersticks, with Whiskey and Water
Key bit at 4 min 02 secs
They are indeed a very good band Rocko, I’m really enjoying the first album here.
Fredrik with an acoustic version of Alina’s Place. Great music and spellbindingly good lyrics
Great find there Larry.
The Pogues’ ode to the poet Federico Lorca, murdered by Franco’s thugs in 1936.
I am friends with a band called French Quarter on Facebook and the guy behind them, Stephen Steinbrink, posted up this request for somewhere to stay while he is in Pittsburg at a gig.
Hi,
I am looking for a home/structure to sleep under this Wednesday, July 25th, in Pittsburgh, PA. Do you live there? Will you have me?
I will be coming late-ish, but I will not fall asleep until I do all your dishes, landscape your lawn, post things on craigslist for you. And you can come to our show the next night for free, if you want, but no pressure, right.
Write me: stephensteinbrink (at) gmail (dot) com
Here are a couple of songs by him

I really like Of Monsters and Men’s song called Little Talk but I must concede that I heard it first on mainstream radio and therefore it will be frowned upon by music snobs like farmerinthecity and Bandage.
A strong whiff of Arcade Fire about it, but fuck it, great tune. Don’t know how to upload anything so just a link below.
Oh look the video comes up.
We’ve just had a period of quiet campaign reflection to this tune.
