Any particular compilation youâd recommend? Iâm familiar with their most popular songs, Bacharach being one of the holy Bs for a Beach Boys fan like me, along with the Byrds and Big Star. The Beatles would usually be mentioned there too but I think theyâre shite for the most part.
For those of you who havenât heard it yet, the new Nick Cave and Bad Seeds album, Push the Sky Away, is fucking brilliant.

Iâm a big fan of those kind of songwritersâŚthe Tin Pan Alley crowd and people like Laura Nyro. Ever hear that song âWedding Bell Bluesâ that she wrote and the 5th Dimension had a hit with? Itâs pretty much as perfect as a song can be.
