Some lovely easy listening for a bank holiday weekend.
I found the CD sleeve the other day but alas the actual CD is long gone. Great album.
You could probably buy it for a few pence on Amazon. Don’t deny yourself any longer. Kinvara needs more homeys. Cruising around, windows down, and roaring along to classics such as “how I could just kill a man”.

Damien Dempsey’s version:
Butch Moore - Walking the Streets in the Rain
It’s a deadly banger. It’s the best tune on the record but the rest of the record is well up to scratch.
But this one ticks all the boxes for me. I think it’s the best song of the year so far.
I’ve actually just placed the needle back in the groove to hear it again.
Lovely cagoule Tim is wearing in that video
I must do a piece advocating the cagoule on the Friday Fashion Thread. Maybe my favourite jacket type
I found my cagoule recently; it was in hiding after a house move. It’s a smashing little jacket. Picked up for a snip in Urban Outfitters 10 years ago this summer. Still every bit as stylish now
I used to have the soundtrack to Paris, Texas on vinyl. It was wonderful (it’s a wonderful film as well). Cooder’s done some excellent soundtracks, The Long Riders was another of his. I got his last album, Pull up some Dust and Sit Down, but was a bit underwhelmed, I’ll have to listen to it again. But Paris, Texas is a masterpiece.
New one here from Brian Eno. One for a chill out. Twenty minute long ambient epic from his forthcoming album.
Watching Reeling in the Years on Wednesday? I’ve been humming it since
Of course
