I wouldnât be best placed to judge itâs merits overall because I havenât bought new music in a decade. But itâs my favourite Irish album by a distance. Saw them live a few times back in the day and saw them in Dublin a few years back again, in the academy I think. Start to finish brilliant stuff. Lot of venom in it too. Brilliant album to listen to late at night after being on it all day
Its no Twinkle.
For fucks sake.
This doesnât seem to have been posted before, one of the best cure songs.
Heâs a honky. Has no place in this thread.
One of my very favourite suede tunes, listened to it today at full volume in the car
Oh class A, Class B, is that the only chemistry between us
Great band. Pity they never got the success they deserved.
Dave Couse is a fantastic songwriter.
They had a few cracking albums.
Two from the brilliant Rook album by Shearwater
The Snow Leopard
Home Life
I had a pint with Couse at the bar in Callanans of Cork years ago while we were waiting for our respective groups to join us, as far as I remember he was working with the Frank and Walters on something at the time, he was certainly drinking with them anyway. Nice bloke, seemed to be a very clever and knowledgable fella
Hereâs a classic from them from the late late
Angel Olsen - All Right Now

@anon7035031 - listening to the album this is off, âburn your fire for no witnessâ. Well worth a spin.
Thanks mate I need something new to listen to. Whereâs she from? She reminds me of someone (not one of the Olsen twins).
I donât know a thing about her. Tune played at the end of an HBO show, and I was hooked. What a voice. Some of the album kicks off in a PJ Harvey kind of way.
