If I had one shot at a time machine , would love to go back and see these guys on a good night (when Morrison was at least semi-coherent). Their better songs havenât aged in the slightest, great band, Manzarek was an absolute genius, nothing really like them before or since imo. Absolutely Live is an outstanding document of the band at their finest, this version isnât as good, but has decent video.

Iggy Pop has said that he was massively influenced by the Doors. He loved the idea of a brilliantly competent band with a lead singer being off his head constantly.
He sang an extraordinarily beautiful song last week on radio. I heard the repeat on Saturday, anyone know what it was?
