I approached David Gedge after the Seamonsters gig and said it was my favourite album of all time.
He looked as me as if to say âstop talking shite and go away from meâ yet muttered a âthanksâ.

@ironmoth and @ChocolateMice and other War on Drugs fans. I took the trouble to see this crowd in Manchester on their last world tour because they didnât play Ireland. It was money very well spent. They are a tremendous band live and with a new album coming up on Atlantic they are going to be touring again soon so do whatever it takes to see them. You wonât regret it.

I was looking at their dates the other day, pal⌠They play in Sweden the day before my birthday⌠iâll say it to princess and plant the seed.
Theyâre only hitting the UK again, from what Iâve seen online. My days of downing tools and heading overseas to see a band are behind me and about 10 years in front of me. Iâve watched mostly live clips of TWOD online since @anon7035031 recommended them, and theyâve definitely got âitâ. Opeth will be my next outing, Fagan. Unless Porcupine Tree or Tool pop out of the woodwork with a surprise tour.

Am I correct that the recommendation of @The_Scouse_Cafu persuaded you to to attend their show at Vicar Street in 2014?
They are playing down the road from me in October, will be securing tickets as soon as they come out. Hopefully the new album will not disappoint, first big label album and all that.
That was a ballhop. I actually travelled to see them in Manchester for the first time in 2015.
