One of the auld lads favourite songs & artists. He would drive me mad back in the old days, turning off the telly to listen to Hank & Co. on Midwest Radio every Saturday night, but on reflection, he probably had better taste in music than I had.

I was listening to some north african music this morning on the radio in the car, didn’t catch the artists name as the fucking phone rang. But I am intrigued every time I hear music from that region. Do any of you have knowledge of music from Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, that kind of environs and suggest some artists I should listen to?
Check out the former blog turned record label Awesome Tapes from Africa. Should be something there. Perhaps. I used to be a regular visitor to the blog 10 year ago or so.

What ever happened to Marina? Saw her nearly a decade ago in Kentish Town, talented.
Saw her in the place on Abbey Street Dublin. Christ she was a cracker.
