Aerosmith - Dream On

Simply phenomenal…

Every time that I look in the mirror
All these lines on my face getting clearer
The past is gone
It went by like dusk to dawn
Isn’t that the way?
Everybody’s got their dues in life to pay, yeah

I know nobody knows
Where it comes and where it goes
I know it’s everybody’s sin
You got to lose to know how to win

Sing with me, sing for the year
Sing for the laughter and sing for the tear
Sing with me, it’s just for today
Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away

Phenomenal tune, very under appreciated on this side of the Atlantic, back in the day of juke boxes in the bars you’d be guaranteed to hear it a couple of times a night in bars of New York, really takes me back

It’s on constant rotation on US radio, and it never gets old. I’d have been a big Led Zep fan, but Dream On is better than anything they’ve done.

Zeppelin are very overrated. The self indulgent solos are very annoying after a while

Musically, lyrically and thematically it’s very difficult to find fault with Led Zep. I lost huge respect for them when I found out about Sir Jimmy Page’s penchant for underage girls.

Do you not get bored of the solos, if you haven’t a smoke taken.

Ok mate, I know you can play guitar but it’s been about 6 minutes since anything else happened

Oh please fuck off. Aerosmith are a poor man’s Deep Purple.

There are very few Zeppelin songs with long solos, live versions yes.

Page was an Alaister Crowley disciple. It was part of his religious practice.

Bored of the solos?! Fuck no. I think I started a thread on guitar solos.

Who’s talking about Aerosmith? We’re talking about Dream On. Jog on.

I love this song, and the Blind Melon version is even better in my humble opinion.

Got the whole Multiplication Rock album on Vinyl on RSD a few years ago.
