A masterpiece, Changes, Pretty Things, Life on Mars, Quicksand and The Bewley Brothers. His best album I think and has stood the test of time.

Do I have this right?

Into Your Arms was written and performed by a lad in another band who subsequently moved into The Lemonheads and then it was covered essentially ?

That’s correct. An Australian lad.

I’d say there’s nearly been more members of The Lemonheads at this stage than The Fall

Wow. That’s some amount of band members then.

I’ve been listening to The Fall quite a bit recently. There’s a real sense of out there off their stuff I think - like completely original and almost startling to listen to.

Spoilt Victorian Child for instance from
1985. Feck all other bands were doing stuff like that back then - even if you consider The Smiths.

Not quite
I’m
A huge Lemonheads fan and recently read Evan’s book :flushed:

The guy who wrote Into your Arms was never in Lemonheads, but a guy in the same band was.
The original lineup were all Harvard guys except for Evan so it’s no surprise they didn’t stick it out.

I think he’s an outstanding songwriter but a lot of their most popular songs were covers (Mrs Robinson and the outdoor type especially)

Crackers.

I would be more of a fan of Now I’m a Cowboy.

My favourite would be A Sister Like You.
