Iām wasnāt being pedantic. I was watching it last night and I was referring to what could be the big turning point in the match. Ding was down and out, body language was terrible and if heād gone 6-1 down, he could well have ended up having lost it with a session to spare 13-3 this afternoon as he does have a history of capitulating completely when things are going against him. If he wins this, heāll be a hot favourite to get to the final. 15th seed Stephen Maguire (another talented player, but not renowned for his mental fortitude) only other seeded player left in bottom half of the draw.

Bad day for Chinese snooker. Both of their remaining representatives held 9-7 leads going into last session. Both lost 6 frames on the bounce to lose 13-9.
