The safety Wilson played with the cue ball tight on the cushion at the end won him the frame.
Ding may just have played his last shot.
I’m afraid Ding demonstrated there why he has never won the big prize and never will. He’d done the hard part and messed up the easy part.
He should have reset himself before hitting that pink attempt. As he was down on the shot there was an “ooooh” from the other table as somebody missed. He still had time to reset but carried through with the shot and didn’t get near the pot.
Why, is he retiring ?
