A big win for Graeme. After a testing few years, I believe that by reaching the semi final, he’s secured his place back in the Top 16. And it would be a foolish person to rule out a 2nd world title for him.

At this stage there’s still a chance of an all-Cork final between Murphy and O’Sullivan and such a clash would put the seal on a really special week for sport on Leeside. On Sunday evening Corkonians may be equally interested in what happens the 15 reds on the pitch and the 15 reds on the table. But Mark Selby could well be the man to emerge from what looks like the real final against O’Sullivan. 4-4 and two thrilling and tense sessions ahead. Some evening of sport ahead tonight if the expected close finish materialises.

But when asked after the match about his form, O’Sullivan did not take kindly to the suggestion that he is his own harshest critic.

in fairness to dott he had a serious breakdown not so long ago. ronnin is pure class, if he put his mind to it, he could win just about any tournament he wanted to. i really hope he wins his fourth world championship as its no more than his talent deserves.
