The Snooker Thread (Part 2)

Some competitor. Always comes back for more. The end of the 6-2 results as well!

1st time ever in the tournament every 1st round game was the same score.

Ffs, knocked off work early to settle in front of the fire and a few franes and its finished for the afternoon. Balls

Ha ha. Quick one alright.

Wu Yize is good. He might just be the best of the current wave of Chinese players. He fairly demolished the other Chinaman there, 6-0.

Wilson playing like I’ve never seen him play before.

Mad frame

Some frame there, both of them mixing the highest of highs with the lowest of lows. Wilson so close to having won it to go 4-0 up but Robertson would have been raging if he’d manage to lose it from the position he was in before he touched that brown

It’s awful thing to say but I can’t tell any of them apart.

The winners of this will win it out

Didn’t see that coming from Robertson. He was really struggling to get a break of 9 and then bangs in 2 centuries.

This is some turnaround from Robbo. He’s on fire now.

That was some long red from Wilson after the battering he’s taken last few frames. Good prospects now of bringing it to a deciding frame.

Good final frame here.

You’d expect Robertson to make that long red. Wilson in poll position now in deciding frame.

Robertson blew that really. He’s so flaky temperamentally when real pressure comes on for all his natural talent.

Outstanding snooker played by Robertson there.

Robertson had all the momentum at 5-4 after winning 4 frames on the trot. He completely fell asleep when what looked like a match winning chance in frame 10, he didn’t factor in the black going back on its spot and couldn’t pot any red then. It was some break in fairness from Wilson to win that frame after that.

Deciding frame turned on a missed long red that Robbo normally gets 9 out of 10.

I’ve heard him in interviews state that the reason why he hasn’t won as much as he should have was due to playing in Australia for so long coming up. He finds it hard to go through the gears in big matches and struggles to maintain intensity.
