So much happening in that photograph.

The person in the background with the sponsorless Manchester United shirt, the hunched back and the tiny head is intriguing.

I think that’s Tiger Tim Sherwood behind the famous old trophy.

I thought the trophy was on a blue wheelie bin at first glance.

Gentleman Joe pinches the 2nd frame on the black from 50 odd down. The defending champion trails 2-0.

Selby 0-3 Perry

Perry in with chance to get a good start in 4th as well.
This tournament never fails to deliver drama.

Lyu leads Fu 2-1 with a good chance of making it 3-1

Selby 4 down now.

When you consider how Jimmy White was very competitive against Joe Perry, who’s now 4-0 up against Mark Selby, I think it’s fair to say Jimmy would have comfortably beaten Selby himself.

It reinforces the optimism I already had that 2019 will finally be Jimmy’s year to land that elusive first world title.

Stephen Maguire takes the opening 2 frames vs Ronnie

3-0 to Maguire.

Selby starts second session tonight trailing 7-2.
Surely he can’t pull of a win from this situation

Gentleman Joe takes the first frame, 8-2. Selby in a whole world of shit.

Ronnie losing 6-3 to Maguire

Is 1982 the last time the top two seeds exited in Round 1?

Selby gets a reprieve in frame 11 after Perry was in to make it 8-3. A superb long red from Selby to start the winning break of 84.

Can The Jester kick on from here?

A loose safety from Joe has given Selby a decent chance here in frame 12.

BBC ending their coverage at 8 :rage: Are they not doing the red button this year?
