In the mid to late 2010’s, 80-90% of bet365s traffic and turnover came from unregulated grey markets in Asia. I don’t believe this money has dried up or will dry up any time soon. It’s one of many reasons they’ve never needed to go public.

There was a case in the US where a teenager got about $6m off Meta for social addiction manipulation.
If that’s the direction things are going, just wait until gambling companies are next. You’ll have young fellas coming out of the woodwork saying they were never properly checked, couldn’t afford what they were losing, and were let keep going anyway.
If the American courts get stuck into that, it won’t be small, it’ll be a full blown group action and they’ll absolutely go to town on it. Flutter could be staring down the barrel of billions. Penny stock status beckons.
I’m telling ye now, if that ever lands, it’ll be total carnage on the share price.

They reckon bookies will be caught for a couple of billion in Germany alone. Think the gambling industry is on the downward spiral.

When you think of betting in it’s purest form, Betfair had the ultimate model and it’s demise was one of the greatest fumbles. It was exactly what these “prediction” markets, fan duel etc are now. It should in theory have wiped out every major bookmaker.
I’d say majority of young lads betting have hardly heard of it. It
