I bought a copy of Pills âNâ Thrills âNâ Bellyaches on May 1, 2001, which was a very sunny day, and proceeded to play it that evening (during which I drank a four-pack of Strongbow cider while watching Bayern Munich beating Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final), for the rest of that month and for much of that summer - especially this song, written about former Greater Manchester Chief Constable James Anderton. Itâs a very summery album, whereas their first two albums are pretty dark and much more suited to late September/October listening.

I considered that earlier, great tune to open a great album, but it didnât feel summery at all
What is it about âsummer in the titleâ thatâs hard to get? Remarkable the number of posters that canât follow basic instructions (not directed solely at you). Once again, itâs not songs that came out in summer or remind a poster of summer or a particular summer.
Besides if youâre high enough, Summer Babe is very summery.
But this was a better summer blockbuster hit.
