Maybe Buckley. Spillane is too slow and Stephen Murphy is a midfielder. Think Cormac Murphy is also a midfielder/half-forward. Too loose at half-back but also talented enough that we need him somewhere. Load of the other lads like Egan, Moylan, O’Mahony etc are all too slow on the turn for inter-county half-back. Fine facing the ball but fucked when they are going to goal.
Buckley has the pace but not the size for half-back. One of our better corner-backs at underage is playing football this week, Kieran Histon. He had a look of Brian Murphy about him when I saw him at Minor.
Excellent Cork representation in the U-18 schools comps. Four in the Harty, four in B, and at least four in C. I believe CCR and Blarney are supposed to be good in their respective competitions.
