The Thread that was once about GAA Betting in 2015

Belmont at 4/11 to beat Shamrocks looks very generous to me in Offaly senior hurling this weekend. Belmont are average enough but Shamrocks are a complete rabble, on their 3rd manager this season, and got massacred the last day out by Tullamore, who had lost their first two games.

I think Na Piarsaigh are a great price at 15/8 to beat St Kierans.
I see that game as 50/50.

Kilkenny 2/5 is free money. -3 at 10/11 not far off it. Couldn’t bet on the game my self though.

I’m revoking this tip as I read on the bible that is Hoganstand that NAP are missing a few.

How do you think Ballysteen will go?

Hard game to call. Prices probably about right.

I’ve done the unders for both football matches in a treble with the overs for hurling match tomorrow. Pays between 5-6/1

Monaghan Tyrone - under 30.5 (8/11)
Mayo Donegal - under 34.5 (5/6)
Waterford KK - over 44.5 (10/11)

Outstanding tipping from me

(ignoring the fact I later revoked the tip)

Belmont 2-20. Shamrocks 0-11.

What did you throw at that 4/11 price?

I’m not much of a gambler really. I just look at the odds out of interest really.

I put the above as part of two accumulators.

A tenner on Kilcormac, Coolderry, Belmont

The other was my Dublin free fiver from Mac’s bet on the above three, Portlaoise, Tullamore and Sarsfields to beat Youghal.

Not massive odds but should keep me account in credit. All have come up so far. Coolderry and Sarsfields still to play.

@Mac that was a great call on the football bet. I followed you on Dublin but Tyrone are giving you plenty of value now too.

You obviously missed the post where I accidentally cashed out the Tyrone bet for half my original stake. If Idiot of the Month still existed then I’d have won it hands down :rage:

Dublin Mayo semi looks to have value in it, whoever you think will win. Mayo are 15-8 to win it. Dublin -2 are 11-10. You’d imagine if Dublin were to win it they’d do so comfortably enough.

I’d look to back both teams to win by 4 or more points.

Mark Bradley must be in with a great shout for Young Player of the Year.

What odds is Diarmuid O’Connor mate ?

Well done yesterday btw. Watched it in an Irish bar in Lanzarote with a few Tyrone bhoys. They reckon ye will smash Kerry and Dublin but Mayo would be tough.

Kilkenny -4 points looks fairly nailed on today I think. Can see it being tight early on but W’ford’s lack of a goal threat will mean they can’t get ahead and KK will tap over a few handy points late on when they go chasing the game

Yeah, that’s my view on it. O’Connor is favourite at 1/4 when I checked, Bradley is 4/1.

My views would be the same, I think Mayo’s dominance in the middle of the pitch is scary. I think we will take Kerry but Mayo are the team I think might just be a bridge too far at the minute but there are deficiencies there Mickey Harte can exploit.

Didn’t like the look of much today, but i’ve gone for KK to score a penalty for an interest @11/2

Think KK will cover the handicap as well, I was going to go for -6 but its a bit skinny.

Looks like top scorer is between Canning and Keenan, barring a miracle All Ireland Final from Reid
