[QUOTE=“Chucks Nwoko, post: 1150583, member: 2812”]They’re not far off an average winning margin of 16 per game in their last 2 Leinster championsips. Layers have the line about right.

They had Eoghan O’Gara for those championships though
Calling Julio who takes an interest in weaker hurling competitions betting.
Kildare have been backed from 9\4 to 15\8 with PP for tomorrow’s Christy Ring game v Kerry. Still 9\4 with Boyle’s.
Antrim’s recent poor form has taken some of the gloss off Kerry’s league win over them. Kildare are reigning Christy Ring Champions beating Kerry in last years final and Kildare have home advantage tomorrow. Banana skin written all over it for Kerry.
Kerry are without their centre back, Pat Kelly tomorrow as he is hurling for Clarecastle
indeed another reason why Kildare look long at 9\4

Points in favour of Kerry;
Kildare beat Kerry in the Christy Ring final last year, but that was mainly due to a collapse on Kerry’s part rather than Kidare being the better team. Kerry will be out to put that right & well up for it, where they have seemed pedestrian in the competition to date. Complacent I’d think.
Kerry romped through the league including a thrashing of London who beat Kildare and put them into the losers round.
Kerry are man for man a better team than Kildare. I would go so far as to say significantly better.
Kerry have made (I think) the last 4 finals in a row, they seem to struggle in the final though.
*Kildare have played four matches due to a replay and an extra game in the losers round. Kerry have only had two.
Points in favour of Kildare;
Kildare are at home. Bizarrely despite Kerry coming through the winners round & Kildare coming through the losers round, they toss for home venue. Makes no sense to me anyway.
As alluded to by Chewy Kerry are down one of their better players.
Kerry’s league campaign seems to have taken an awful lot out of them, stumbled through the first two rounds in a very unconvincing fashion.

*Only possible to ascertain in hindsight which way this will work overtired vs match hardened.
All said I’d have Kerry favs but @ 4/6 rather than 8/15. Kerry are 4/6 to win the whole thing which is ludicrous considering they are 8/15 for this game.
Boylesports haven’t moved their line at all and are @ 9/4 Kildare. They are very good value to win @ 9/4, but I don’t expect them to if that makes sense.
The other semi final will be tight too. The value bet for me is Derry to win the Christy Ring outright (best priced 5/1 with Ladbrokes). I fancy them to shade Down though their won’t be much in it. Then it’ll be a 50/50 final, with a chance to lay off. Pricing Kerry @ 4/6 when they are 8/15 for the game would suggest the bookies would have them 1/10 or so against either Derry or Down which is insanity. I’d expect if they were to get to the final they’d go off at 1/2 or so. Plenty scope to lay off and take profit.
Thanks Julio
I am chancing a draw between Down and Derry
I have a nasty feeling in my gut Kerry peaked a few weeks back and Kildare are just coming to the boil right now. I think Kildare beat Meath by more than Kerry did in this competition ?
I’ve gone Kerry, Derry, Dublin all hurling pays 9/1
Even though this breaks my rule of not backing in a match involving the Galway hurlers.
I’ve also done Kerry, Derry, Fermanagh (fb) pays like 4.5/1
Fermanagh footballers @ 1/4 is like buying money.

Turns out my concern for Kerry was completely unfounded!
What do you think of the Tipp lads playing for Kerry?
think just one started today? 3 in around the panel plus a clare man. I think 14 native Kerrymen started today and 14 native kerrymen did start against Antrim so its not as if the starting 15 is packed with Tipp men. I am not a fan of too many outsiders to be honest. The players seem to be popular within the panel though and contributed hugely when playing. They tend to miss games though when the they clash with club games in their native county
Eamonn Kelly and Conor Gleeson doing a good job in charge anyway

Fucking dubs. A profitable weekend overall though

0-9 to 6-27. I would say that 9/4 was about right.
Good man captain hindsight
What’s the craic with Laois hurling at the moment? Cheddar left but is now back - anyone know what the ‘issues’ discussed were? A Laois - Waterford double this weekend pays 6.5/1 and looks attractive. This is based on me knowing nothing about where Offaly are at other than assuming they’re completely underpreprared while Laois are fresher after the round robin.

dickie is now 4/6 Mac. Should I lay off?
Kilkenny a good bet to beat Dublin in U21 tonight at 11/8?

Do you have a cash out option, and do you have much on?
Anyone?
What are Waterford at now?
