The Tipp Are Back All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship 2025

Was on the halfway line in the open stand for the Galway game, he really lacks pace. He’s very young and he’ll work on it and his instincts are good but he’s reluctant to take on his man at times.

The day Cork hurling fear Dublin……

And less than 9 months later you expect him to be better than seasoned inter county defenders :man_shrugging:

I hope I’m proven wrong, but I don’t see it yet

Hetro will be a problem for that Cork full back line.He gave Lawlor plenty of it.

Just watch lads.

He has 2 kids ffs. No need to labour the point.

Agree.

Personally id be hugely encouraged by his year so far. You have to been realistic in expectations for a player of his experience and age.
He is an accurate shooter, not afraid to graft without the ball and has a bit of badness on him too.

I think he is only going to get better and so far his IC career bar the sending off has been positive.

No.

A man writes an intelligent and interesting post about the semi finals and a Cork eejit can’t help jumping in to try and make it about Limerick, who are no longer a factor in this championship.

In any other County, Darragh McCarthy would be hailed as a potential superstar, but as you can see with @Fat_Pox critical analysis, the standards set and expected in Tipperary are really really high.

I think he has the mentality and is worth persisting with for what its worth but he needs to play ā€˜in between the lines’ as they say nowadays.

However McGrath and Forde as an out and out two inside doesn’t really work so needs must for now. I’d start McCarthy Sunday and bring Oisin on to see us home.

McCarthy’s work rate is very good and I’d suspect his movement off the ball is creating the channels for the other forwards to prosper. He’s a proven winner underage, schools and club level.
It would be a mad call to drop him.

This. A lot of silly ones too.

I think he’s working hard enough a lot of the time and somewhat unselfish at times. I still think he comes good and would definitely be starting him at this stage.

I wonder does McGarry miss out on the 26th with McCormack coming in?

A 19 year old Paudie Maher got a bit of a roasting from Eoin Brislane inside in the stadium in a county final. I’d say less than 9 months later it was before he was giving bags of it to Shefflin in a league final.

McCarthy had a very good first day out v Limerick. Hopefully he can rediscover that form

Agreed.

Now is not the time for panic.

Is fouling high up the field not a good thing if it’s outside of scoring position?

I’d hazard a guess that it is.
