He refuses to try and win the support of the ‘never-trumpers’ within the GOP base, and winnable Democratic voters. Typical UFC, Rogan, Musk, Theo Von and NRA fanboys combined, won’t come near beating the anti-trump vote he’ll see mobilised by the Dems in the next election. They got complacent once, it won’t happen again.

It’s not like for like, and that will show in the final tally of both the electoral college and popular vote count. Look at his efforts in the middle east- saudi arabia, jordan, turkey, egypt etc are all dismayed at his or blinkens behaviour. The brics nations are growing in strength and xi has asked biden directly why he lies to his (xi’s) face. What exactly do you mean by half the world?

It’s a sad reflection on America if they’ve to choose between those two. Biden has been a grand president, with many flaws, but fucking hell the man’s race is run. Surely he should step aside and let another democrat have a go and go way and enjoy what’s left of his life.
Any middle of the road democrat would best Trump and surely that is the only thing that should concern the Dems. Because if he gets back in then the World is fucked altogether.

Regardless of how much people hate Trump, and for valid reasons, no logical person can claim the world or the US for that matter is better now than it was in 2017-2020. Not with the world closer to a world war than any time since 1962, economies weighed down by massive debt, and standard of living for most people declining due to inflation especially cost of accomodation and energy.
The problem with replacing Biden is how divided Democrats are, it would be very difficult to select a compromise candidare like Biden was. Progressive candidates like Kamala or Newsom would have great difficulty in swing states, and a more conservative candidate won’t attract the younger vote (who now hate Biden due to Israel/Gaza). Both parties are basically fucked.

I wouldn’t pay much attention to polls this far out. If it’s Trump vs Biden, hard to see the turnout we had in 2020 (92% of registered voters cast a vote), the question is not so much how much people like a candidate its how much do they dislike the other candidate. That was the deciding factor in 2020 as Trump by then was very unpopular especially among women voters.
We could see a low turnout and significant numbers voting for alternative candidates as a protest. In that scenario it’s literally impossible to call.
Sure the whole world was a better place in 17 to 20. That wasn’t trump that was just lucky timing ffs.

Western democracy was in serious trouble long before Trump, it’s the main reason we got Trump. The approval rating of Congress (the branch of government that supposedly governs) which historically has been favorable has been hovering around 20% since the late 00s (it’s currently at 17%). Government is seen by most people as a corrupt spoial club to enrich politicians (of both parties) and those that get them elected. If you look at the rapidly escalating wealth of those elected it’s hard to ignore. The financial crisis and the response of government cemented that view for most people, the big banks and corporations got bailed out, the rest of you can go fuck.
But you’r right, the world would have been a much better place if Hillary had been elected, we could have got started on wars four years earlier.

Biden’s family making $20 million selling access to Joe was just luck (being in the right place at thr right time).
The interesting thing is that while Democrats still support Biden (because the alternative is the devil), only 20% of Democrats approve of Congress, same as Republicans. So the negarive view of government is widespread.
