🌬 The Weather Thread part 2 (Part 1)

Tis wild in North Kerry. But there was no need for the weather warning until two hours ago

It would be an average wet & windy afternoon 15 years ago.

These warnings are a load of bollocks.

The last big hit up our way wasn’t even given as a warning status.

Spilling rain here in the Viking quarter.

An hour and a half of heavy rain was the extent of this orange warning.

Drains not kept clean and the lowest lying part of the town too.

Council fully responsible there

The flood protection barrier leaning up against the counter of the first shop.

:100:

They spoke about it on news…because water came up through drains inside etc it was only keeping the water in the shop

Poor drainage maintenance at fault there and nothing else.

Sure why would the council listen to the weather warnings? You said they weren’t worth a curse?

Maintenance should be carried out before the warnings.

Same issues & stories….

Heavy rain and drains overflow as debris is blocking flow…

You said there was no need for this weather warning so council staff foccused on shrubbery not drains last week
