I think it could be time for a bit of bobsleigh action later on. I’m thinking of bringing and old bath up the hill. If the Jamaicans could do then it’s possible. When and where are the next winter olympics?

Recently purchased some sleds for the kids on sled.ie. Had to wait for the 2 UFOs but the Snow Racer and 2 Hot Plates arrived yesterday so the kids should be having some fun today.

Should switch it to the New Year. I’d say a lot of venues will be more than pleased to rebook. January is normally quiet for them anyhow. A friend of mine works in Carton House and they had a person who had organised a do during the previous Snow event. Rather than cancel (and lose the deposit) or go ahead with most of the people missing, they were given an alternative date in January. Suits the punter, suits the hotel. everyone wins (or at least don’t lose so much).

I was in the nice part of Clare over the weekend and the roads were lethal. Serious snowfall there Friday evening.

Our local plant hire companies have now joined together to spread sand and gravel dust on the roads to make them safe for all users*, wonderful community spirit.
*There was two dozen accidents on one short stretch of road sunday night.
