The Weather Thread

Savage weather this evening. Sheep were shorn of their fleeces earlier. The summer as arrived.

Very wet, damp and miserable in Limerick today for a change…

 :o
The Sun is splitting the rocks in West Limerick

Brutal here in Tour, it’s on the way to ye. Batten up the hatches…

The silage grass has nearly enough rain got now up our side.

It would be nice if the rain fcuked off again for a while.

Not this weekend KP promised very bad

I hear there’s fierce rain in Dublin 6 at the moment. Thunder and lightning aswell

A fine day in Dusseldorf

It’s not localised to D6 I can tell ya. I went out there and told the lightning to fuck right off and now the sun is back shining.

Not a drop of rain here all day you scoundrel.

Dublin 2 had some awful showers during the day but all fine since wolf finished up

I was in Kildare yesterday and a shower of hail stones fell, the place was white! :o
Good job the south west in enjoying a tropical climate these days.

Beautiful early summers day here on south Fingal. Cloudy, warm, hint of damp in the air. Really evocative stuff.

That was one wild bad night

Twas a wet one, lovely morning in Cork.

Apparently tomorrow is going to be worse with a big gale on the way.

Heatwave me hole

It’s only going to be half decent (19-22c) Friday to Saturday and that’s about it.

Irish weather folk would be better off never promising good weather, all the best bursts of sunshine arrive out of nowhere. You could almost predict this was going to be an anti climax.

Good.

I have a weekend of study ahead so hopefully it is pissing rain.

Also, the June bank holiday weekend for the three years, 2009, 2008 and 2007 were scorchers and that was the extent of the summer afterwards.

June bank holiday weekend last year was dull and we had a reasonably good summer afterwards.

There is probably no correlation but just saying like.

Any of the international weather sites I have looked at all week never showed it to be any better than what you’d expect for June. I don’t know where Met Eireann get their predictions from.
