I remember when it kicked off in the early 90s, my grandfather (who lived with us) would have a few ould neighbours in after mass and theyâd drink a few bottles of Guinness and tell a few yarns as Mike Murphy went about his business in his unique pleasant and jovial manner. They were fascinated with the whole thing. ⌠Big money being dished out to folk they could relate to, would their 3 stars come up? and then the big build up to the spinning of the wheel⌠Theyâd be disgusted when a fella wouldnât give it a right good spin.

More chance of some universal media charge or some wordy bollocks term to replace the TV license. Undoubtedly will apply to every house in the country, whether they have a TV or not.

I canât recall. Youâd see the odd fella hang off it and give an unmerciful spin, you could nearly get a trip to the jacks done by the time the ball would stop.
