Thefreekick.com downtime

What do we think caused it? Well on the way to fixing all the issues now but it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if some large Irish media group (probably Independent Newspapers) recognised the threat tfk poses to the establishment and took us out of the game.

We’re back and we’re all the stronger for our downtime.

I was thinking along similar lines.

I may be wide of the mark here but I don’t think you can discount a link to the Bob Woolmer case either.

Good thinking.

Bob was writing a book, we were writing a website. A few unexpected results and all of a sudden both at death’s door.

Thank God we pulled through.

Could you be the Inzamam in all this?

The trusted insider who, if truth be told, probably wielded too much power and got a little jealous when his influence was seen to be diminishing.

Are we keeping the new look?

I like it.

Jaysus its back, i was getting worried. Long live TFK hi5

It’s only supposed to be temporary but if it proves popular it could be persisted with. It needs some moifications though to fit in with the rest of the site a bit better.

No, I prefer the old one

Good to have it the site back though

Back In Black! I got so frustrated with the site being down I visited the old forum and digged up a classic post which I will put up early tomorrow morning

Jam jars chicken wings.

On a dark desert Friday
Cool wind in my hair,
Warm smell of wedges rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance
I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy, and my sight grew dim
I had to go for a sh!te
There he stood in the doorway
He left a smell
And I was thinking to myself
Man, this jacks smells like hell
Then he pulled the handle
And the sh!te flowed away
There were voices in the corridor
I thought I heard them say

Were going to harbourmaster
Such a lovely place (for a few hints)
Such a lovely place (for a few hints)

Plenty of room at the harbourmaster
Any time of year (for a few hints)
Any time of year (for a few hints)
You can find us here (for a few hints)
You can find us here (for a few hints)

Hes had few now and hes twisted
hes dizzy and got the bends
He’s got a lot of pretty, pretty boys
That hed like to grope
How they dance in the courtyard
Sweet summer sweat
Some dance to remember
Some dance to forget
So I called up the Barman
Please bring me my beer
He said
in not serving you while youre standing out there
And still those voices are calling from far away
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say

Welcome to the harbourmaster
Such a lovely Place
Such a lovely Place
Such a lovely face
They’re livin’ it up at the harbourmaster
What a nice surprise
What a nice surprise
Bring your alibis, lots of girls and boys

Mirrors on the ceiling
They got Bulmers and ice
We are all just visitors here eating wings, theyre nice
And in the masters chamber they gather for the feast
They eat the wings with there dirty hands, and dont think about the grease
Lat thing I remember I was running for the door
It was eight o clock, couldnt drink much more
Relax said the barman we are programmed to receive,
But its actually 12.30 now, and you must leave.
