+1. Each to their own but I don’t watch films, sure you couldn’t be giving up 90+ minutes of your time in a sitting for something that isn’t live sport or eating. An awards ceremony for films is another level entirely & the next level beyond that is the absolute guff these thespians come out with in the speeches. I want to dedicate this award to the chaos in every mother’s heart. Fuck off with your auld shite like. I was driving to Wexford earlier & had to keep changing the radio channel any time the oscars was mentioned.

My mother was a Killarney women so I should have a vested interest but by God Jesse does utter some dung.

The fascination that people have with someone not taking up an intercounty career always makes me laugh. David Gillick was told he should give up running as he’d have a chance of making the Dublin panel. Lads flogging themselves for little to no reward rather than pursuing a professional career is a bit bizarre.

It’s mostly midlands muldoons who have just crawled out from under a rock who ascribe to this worldview. Coastal counties generally have a sense of perspective on this type of craic. *
