The 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards was a night to remember. Taking place in Berlin, Germany on September 21, the night was hosted by Katy Perry, Alan Green and Mike Ingham while Pete Wentz held down the fort on the show’s webcast. Winning big that night was Beyonce, who took home Best Song, Best Video, and Best Female Artist while Green Day, Katy Perry, and Queen Bey took to the stage for some incredible performances.

Separately but around this time as well, there was the case of a teacher in New Ross, Eileen Flynn, who was removed from her post as a teacher by the nuns because she was living with and had a child by a separated man. She took a case for unfair dismissal to the High Court and lost.

I didnt know about this case at all. And it had some very recent events attributed to it too as the teacher involved died a few years ago. It’s mental to think this was the way things were back then.

going by the surnames of the busy body parents, I would safely say they were on the Kilkenny side of the river. There is also another name mentioned in there that would be very close to some on this site too that I wouldnt have realised either. 2 pubs in Ross that I never knew existed either.
