A quick googly tells me the plane crashed into a mountain in the fog. Investigators were stumped as to how the plane creased into the mountain face. There was just him and 2 pilots in the plane and none survived… thats 3, not out.

It was on Sky News about 2:30pm the afternoon after the Ireland v Cameroon game which started at 7am. I think I’d just finished up watching Germany stick eight goals past Saudi Arabia and their hapless goalkeeper who was wearing tracksuit bottoms and kept jumping into the air and bringing his knees up to his chest for no reason when I saw it on the Sky News “Breaking News” ticker.

That must be a couple of years ago now.
