As well as being level on 55 league titles each, Celtic’s win over Rangers last week means the all time head to head in matches is tied at 171 wins each.
Rangers had notched the previous two wins in head to heads - Celtic’s win on September 1st, 2024 had put them 170-169 ahead. I would wager that that was the first time possibly ever and at least since the year dot that Celtic had moved ahead in the head to head.
Rolling Interim Coach O’Neill will hopefully have the chance to move Celtic ahead in both the number of leagues won and head to head match wins columns.

In September 1999 I bought an alternative/punk music compilation CD along with a Kraftwerk compilation CD at the Virgin record store in The Square in Tallaght. This was back in the days when you used to have to buy music or tape it off the radio, and compilation CDs were good for giving you a grounding in some of the crown jewels of musical history, as it were. The CD also featured such luminaries as the The Stranglers, X-Ray Spex, UK Subs, Sham 69 etc.
The compilation CD featured “This Is Not A Love Song” by Public image Limited. The version featured was the first one below. I liked it a lot and listened to it a lot during the period when the 1999 Rugby World Cup was taking place, along with the Kraftwerk CD and Leftism by Leftfield, on which John Lydon also featured.
But then some time afterwards I found out there was a different version of the song, which is apparently the much better known one, and in comparison, it is shit.
I don’t understand why they picked the shit version as the “main” version. It’s a bit like picking Tom Lahiff when you have Brian Fenton available to you.
